“It's going to be a tremendous atmosphere,” Deer Creek coach Grant Gower said. “It'll be a great setting for high school football, and it's got huge playoff implications.”

No. 3-ranked Deer Creek (7-0) hasn't been challenged much since the win over Carl Albert. The Antlers have outscored their last three opponents by a combined 198-12.

“It's good and bad,” Gower said of his team's recent schedule. “We're not really beat up so to speak as far as going through any really physical ballgames, but the other side of it is we haven't been able to run many plays with our main offense.”

Deer Creek used its starters for 23 offensive plays on Friday in a 69-0 win over Western Heights. The Antlers' starters took just 18 snaps the week before in an 83-6 win over Guymon.

Norman North has had some big wins this season.

The Timberwolves beat crosstown rival Norman to open the season, one of 5A's best in Del City the next week and then snapped Midwest City's 37-game district winning streak.
