My Heart’s Appeal will host a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Oct. 25. There will be an open house from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting at 12:30 p.m. My Heart’s Appeal is in the 5909 NW Expressway Office Building, just west of MacArthur.
My Heart’s Appeal, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing special education to Liberia and eventually to other West African countries in need. The mission of MHA was born from the inspirational quest of its founder, Lovetie Major, to help give intellectually disabled children a chance to learn in Liberia, West Africa.
The organization has successfully started programs that provide care and training for both children and adults with mental and physical disabilities, as well as respite relief for their families. My Heart’s Appeal invites the community to attend the ribbon cutting on the 25th to learn more about the mission and direction of the organization. No RSVP needed.
