Abuse brings prison terms
A Calumet woman was sentenced to one year in prison for allowing a convicted sex offender to sexually abuse a 14-year-old girl for five years, court officials said Tuesday. Angela Mellissia Tuszynski, 35, waived her right to a preliminary hearing, pleaded guilty and was sentenced for enabling child abuse in Kingfisher County District Court. She told Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents she knew Matthew Mallory was a lifetime registered sex offender. Tuszynski said Mallory and the victim acted like husband and wife, so she let them sleep in the same bedroom. Mallory received four life sentences on rape and sexual child abuse charges, records show.

Police limit game parking
Fans attending Saturday's football game between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Kansas Jayhawks will not be allowed to park on Brooks Street from Jenkins Avenue to Classen Boulevard, Norman police said. Although the area is marked no parking, fans have been allowed to park on the south side of Brooks this year. However, traffic volume during the games is making it necessary to restrict parking in the area, Capt. Tom Easley said. Game time is 6 p.m.
