Temperatures will be in the 80s in central Oklahoma Tuesday.

Cooler weather is ahead by Friday.

The Oklahoma City forecast from the National Weather Service is as follows:

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a high near 83. South wind 16 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 65. South wind 13 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 84. South wind 17 to 23 mph with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 61. South wind 16 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 70. South wind 17 to 21 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 41.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 50.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 36.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 52.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 33.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 57.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 42.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 63.
