Oklahoma City police have arrested three suspects in an assault on a pizza delivery man.

Police arrested Sethe Higgins, 15, and Keith Stewart, 14, on complaints of robbery with a dangerous weapon and Marcus Smith, 18, on complaints of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with intent to commit a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Edward Hackett, 77, of Del City, was attacked and stabbed in the abdomen about 11:45 p.m. Saturday as he tried to deliver a pizza to Chapel Ridge Apartments, 5707 SE 48, police said.

Late Sunday, investigators identified the three suspects who were taken into custody, police said.

Higgins and Smith were booked in to the Oklahoma County jail. Stewart was booked into the Berry House.

Hackett underwent surgery at OU Medical Center after the attack and was listed in fair condition Monday.

Police believe the robbery was a setup, with Hackett called to an empty apartment.

Domino's spokesman Tim McIntyre said delivery personnel typically carry $20 or less, are asked to wear no jewelry other than a cheap watch and a wedding ring to avoid being targeted for robberies. He said a foundation supported by Domino's employees is poised to help the man with medical costs incurred. All stores in Oklahoma are independently operated.
