The City Rescue Mission is at 800 W California Ave.

More than 50 agencies setting up booths at the fair will provide free services such as diabetic and cardiac education, flu shots, cholesterol checks, blood pressure checks and more.

“The goal of this event is to provide resources to those in need in the Oklahoma City area and to help them become self-sufficient,” said Shelly Kuhn, director of social services at City Rescue Mission. “People who are homeless or near homeless don’t always have transportation to access the resources they need, but they can attend the health fair where we offer a variety of services under one roof.”

It is the goal of the Mission to provide clients with more than a hot meal and a warm bed. The programs provided treat the body with free medical, dental and vision services. Our Social Services Center provides clients with a variety of resources available to help them succeed at life outside of the Mission.

The Mission partners with approximately 30 outside agencies, which provide medical, dental, vision, veteran’s benefits, counseling, job placement and skills, GED training and computer skills.
