Two men were arrested after a laser pointer was aimed at Air One, the Oklahoma City police helicopter, while it was in flight, police said.

Jordan Randall Pratt, 23, and Dylan Micaiah Crawford, 21, were arrested on violation of the Laser Safety Act and using a laser against uniform personnel complaints.

Police responded to a call about 12:25 a.m. Wednesday of someone shining a laser pointer at the police helicopter near NW 10 and Robinson.

The Air One pilot told police the laser was shined through the passenger window at 1,000 feet.

Officers stopped a vehicle matching the description given on Mickey Mantle near Sheridan, according to the incident report.

Police found a laser pointer inside the vehicle. An officer tested it from the Walnut Bridge to Harkins Theatres. He could see it on the wall, 1,850 feet away, according to the report.

Pratt and Crawford were taken to Oklahoma County jail.
