A woman was arrested after her estranged husband and his girlfriend told police she crawled through their bedroom window and fired a handgun.

Elizabeth Chapman, 53, was arrested on complaints of domestic abuse, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence.

Police responded to a reported shooting about 2:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of SW 24, according to the incident report.

A woman at the address told police she was asleep in bed with her boyfriend when she was awakened by the sound of someone crawling through the window.

The woman said she and the intruder began arguing and she saw the intruder point a small silver handgun at her, according to the report.

The woman told police the intruder fired a round in her direction so she ran out of the bedroom. She said she called 911 when she heard a second shot.

The woman's boyfriend escorted the intruder out of the house, after which a third round was fired outside and the intruder tried to kick in the front door, according to the report.

The man's son was in the house during the incident.

Police arrested Chapman at her home about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and took her to the Oklahoma County jail.
