High school football: Norman's three-headed monster devours Putnam City West, 50-7

WARR ACRES — As a baby, Norman's Imond Robinson constantly hit things with his bottle, earning him the nickname “Bam.”
It's a reference to the Flintstones character Bam Bam.
Now, though, the nickname has new meaning; he says his teammates call him that because of the way he attacks the hole from his running back position.
The 5-foot-5 running back put that on display Thursday night, bursting free for a 47-yard touchdown in the eighth-ranked Tigers' 50-7 rout of Putnam City West at Putnam City Stadium.
“The line was wide open thanks to our line and our receivers,” Robinson said. “It was just great blocking. When I saw it, I knew it was a touchdown.”
Robinson carried the ball just three times for 65 yards. Fellow running back A'erion Hines carried three times for 42 yards, two of which went for scores of 30 and 2 yards, respectively.
“I just play my part,” Robinson said. “It shows that we have more than one weapon. Me just doing my part — my one-eleventh — and letting everybody else do theirs, it just helps as a team.”
Norman is now 7-2 overall and 5-1 in District 6A-4. Putnam City West is 1-8 and 0-6. The Patriots have lost eight straight since opening the season with a win over Western Heights.
