Edmond Historical Society sets events

The Edmond Historical Society and Museum officials have scheduled the annual winter market and fundraiser, Wine through Time. The winter market is Friday and Saturday.

Edmond Historical Society and Museum officials are getting ready for the annual winter market and fundraiser.

Fancy and Friends Winter Market is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the museum at 431 S Boulevard.

Museum officials are partnering with Fancy Like That party productions for the market. Artwork, home decor, jewelry, crafts and more will be offered for sale.

Admission to the museum is free.

The winter market is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Wine through Time fundraiser is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 8. University of Central Oklahoma President Don Betz and his wife, Susanne, are honorary co-chairmen.

The event will feature 16 types of wine and hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants. There will also be live jazz entertainment.

The evening will include silent and live auctions, with a wide variety of items to bid on including a murder mystery dinner in a local private home and digital advertising on the Hefner Parkway valued at $4,500.

Money raised will be used to update and renovate permanent exhibits in the main gallery.

Tickets are $50 for a single ticket, $75 for patron ticket or reserved seat and $300 for a patron table for four people. The tickets are available until Friday and can be purchased online at
