Children's election party set

The Moore Public Library, 225 S Howard Ave., is throwing an election party for children, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Children can vote for their favorite foods, pets or colors and make election-themed crafts. No registration is required for the free event.

Chinese-themed story times featured

The University of Oklahoma Confucius Institute is partnering with the Moore library at 225 S Howard Ave. to present Chinese-themed story times at 11 a.m. Nov. 10 and Nov. 17. Cartoonist James Yang will lead the stories, using Chinese style comic illustrations to accompany the tales. Story times are free, with no registration required.

Social Security changes discussed

The Norman Public Library, 225 N Webster Ave., will host “Social Security and You” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lowry Room. Jose Olivero, spokesman for the Social Security Administration in Oklahoma City, will discuss changes in the system and how the changes affect people.
