Event: Champions of FATE Dinner.

Venue: Bud Wilkinson Event Center at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.

Hosted by: University of Oklahoma and NFL football star Roy Williams and former Oklahoma State University quarterback Aso Pogi.

Honored: Kelly Dyer Fry, David Starkey, Chesapeake Energy and KFOR-4/KAUT-43 television stations for making a significant contribution to educate Oklahomans about substance abuse.

The evening: Dinner, silent/live auctions, specialty coffee bar, a chocolate candy buffet, musical program by Silver Strings and a special song written for the occasion by vocalist/songwriter Kyle Owen.


Event: Opus VII: Party Wow!

To benefit: Allied Arts.

Where: Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.

The evening: An elaborate buffet of gourmet food and drinks served throughout the evening, an auction and music by the nationally renowned Pink Flamingos.

Sponsors: Devon Energy Corporation, New Dominion LLC and New Source Energy. Sponsors and VIPs were treated to a patron preparty.


Event: Wall of Fame.

Sponsored by: Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation.

Where: The Skirvin Hilton Hotel.

Honored: The Hon. Timothy D. DeGiusti, Prentice Gautt (posthumously), Joyce Henderson and Thom Shanker.

What: A seated dinner and awards ceremony. A champagne reception was held the evening before at the Devon Energy Tower.


Event: OneVoice Luncheon.

Hosted by: Oklahoma Women's Coalition.

Where: St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

Mission: To improve the potential of Oklahoma women and girls through education and advocacy.
