Homecoming weekend is under way at University of Central Oklahoma

Saturday's homecoming events at University of Central Oklahoma include a homecoming parade and a 2 p.m. football game at Wantland Stadium in Edmond.

It's homecoming weekend at the University of Central Oklahoma, and Saturday's festivities will begin with a 10 a.m. parade in Edmond.

Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook will serve as parade grand marshal. Members of the USA Paralympic team also will appear along with UCO's marching band, the Stampede of Sound.

This year's homecoming theme is “All You Need Is Central.”

The parade will begin at the Math and Computer Science Building parking lot off University Avenue.

There also will be a student affairs Spirit Area at Boulevard and First Street and a tailgate party in the Wantland Stadium parking lot.

The Bronchos take on Southwest Baptist University in their 2 p.m. homecoming game.
