Oklahoma State forward Michael Cobbins is expected to miss as much as a month with a fractured big toe, Cowboys basketball coach Travis Ford revealed Wednesday.

Cobbins landed awkwardly on his left foot early in last week's exhibition win over Ottawa (Kan.). He left the game and did not return. Subsequent tests revealed the fracture, resulting in Cobbins now wearing a protective boot.

The Cowboys, already without Brian Williams, who was lost for the season to a broken wrist, open the season Friday night against California-Davis in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

OSU does expect to have previously injured Jéan-Paul Olukemi and Philip Jurick available.
