Writer/artist Kody Chamberlain will make an appearance Wednesday as part of the Oklahoma City Ad Club's Career Day. The comic-book creator is known for his crime story “Sweets,” set in New Orleans as a killer attacks days before Hurricane Katrina.
While in Oklahoma City, Chamberlain will speak on his background in advertising and design.
“I do a variety of presentations, but the one I'm planning for OKC is about creativity and finding new ways to create, expand, and leverage good ideas,” Chamberlain said in an email interview. “It's a well-rounded presentation that's designed for people already working in a creative industry. I like included a bit of pop culture philosophy from various sources including Bob Ross, Jaws, Bruce Lee, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant.”
Career Day will be held at The Sable Room of the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club, 7000 NW Grand Blvd. Chamberlain's presentation is set for noon to 1 p.m. Registration for the event is $40 on site; for more information visit www.okcadclub.com.
