Pets and People auction is set for Saturday in Oklahoma City
Pets and People, a Yukon animal shelter, will host an auction to benefit homeless dogs and cats in the Oklahoma City area.
Pets and People will hold its annual charity auction Saturday at the Biltmore Hotel, 401 S Meridian.
Pets and People is a nonprofit group in Yukon that has rescued more than 46,000 adoptable pets from 25 Oklahoma City-area animal control shelters since it was founded in 1992.
Tickets are $25 and include a buffet dinner and refreshments. There also will be a cash bar. Tickets can be purchased at www.petsandpeople.com or at Pets and People, 701 Inla Ave. in Yukon from noon to 5:30 p.m.
Pets and People's adoption fees are $80 for dogs that weigh more than 20 pounds, $100 for dogs 20 pounds and under and purebred dogs and puppies, $65 for cats and $70 for kittens under six months. The adoption rates include medical services, including vet exams, spaying or neutering, medical testing, treatment and appropriate shots.
