Diabetes, lung cancer to be topics of Oklahoma City discussions
Dr. Caroline Merritt will share information at noon on Nov. 26 about how to prevent diabetes and also the risk factors and the latest advances for those living with the disease.
The free event will be at Integris Health Edmond Memorial conference room at 4801 Integris Parkway.
Also at that location, Dr. Thomas Showalter at noon on Nov. 28 will give insight on treatment options and coping with a lung cancer diagnosis. Lunch will be provided, and hospital tours will follow presentations. To enroll, call the Integris HealthLine at 951-2277.
Federal agency offers health care advice online
A federal health quality agency recently launched a website that offers podcasts, videos and advice columns on the latest health care news and research findings. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality recently launched Healthcare 411, a multimedia health care news website that provides content on a wide range of health information.
