Last year, Christmas arrived just a few months after The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City's grand opening. There was no time for a tree. So this year, the mall is going all out.

On Tuesday evening, Santa Claus arrived by horse and carriage to light the center's 25-foot-tall Christmas tree. Giant snowflakes are draped across the aisles. And twinkling lights outline every building.

The decorations are hung and the outlet mall at Interstate 40 and Council Road will officially kick off the holiday shopping season with an “all-night madness” event starting at 10 p.m. Thursday. All stores will be open and gift wrapping will be provided by the Moore High School band. The first 1,500 people receive free hot chocolate and pumpkin pie.
