Midwest City police to host safety awareness, self defense class

MIDWEST CITY -- The Midwest City Police Department will host a Safety Awareness and Self Defense class on Monday, Dec. 10. The class will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Nick Harroz Community Center, 200 N Midwest Blvd.

The purpose of the class is to show citizens ways to defend and protect themselves. The class will be led by MWC police officers who are certified defensive tactic instructors.

In addition to covering safety tips and awareness information, there will be self defense demonstrations by the instructors.
