Man accused of dismembering his mother arraigned on murder charge

A 52-year-old man accused of killing his mother and storing some of her body parts in a freezer was arraigned Tuesday in Cleveland County District Court. A district judge denied bond due to the grisly nature of the crime, records show.

NORMAN — A 52-year-old man accused of dismembering his mother and storing some of her body parts in a freezer was arraigned Tuesday in Cleveland County District Court.

A district judge denied bond for Gerald David Hume due to the “gruesome nature of the alleged crime,” records show. He has not entered a plea.
