A judge dismissed one count of use of a computer to facilitate a sex crime Thursday in the preliminary hearing of Israel Shalom Castillo, a former employee of Victory Christian church.

The judge ordered the count dismissed based on a defense motion that argued both counts against Castillo relied on the same evidence.

Castillo, 23, still faces a charge of making a lewd or indecent proposal to a child involving a 15-year-old girl he met through Victory Christian Center. He has pleaded not guilty.

The hearing continued Thursday morning in a closed session as a 14-year-old alleged victim was called in to testify.
