UPDATE: John Kilpatrick Turnpike near Wilshire has reopened

A wreck with injury shut down the John Kilpatrick Turnpike Tuesday. The turnpike has reopened to traffic.

9:15 a.m. John Kilpatrick Turnpike has reopened Tuesday morning near Wilshire Boulevard. The wreck shut down the northbound lanes for about two hours.

7:40 a.m. The northbound lanes of the John Kilpatrick Turnpike are shut down due to the injury wreck, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

7:10 a.m. A collision with injury has been reported on the John Kilpatrick Turnpike, according to fire department radio reports. Firefighters are working to extricate victims from a vehicle. The wreck is in the northbound lanes at W Wilshire Boulevard. The wreck happened about 6:50 a.m. Check back to NewsOK.com for more information

6:45 a.m. A tractor-trailer has overturned in northwest Oklahoma City, local television stations report.

The rig is in the eastbound lanes of Northwest Expressway at Council Road.
