Pet kangaroo from Shawnee still missing

The Menhusen family in Shawnee has had several tips come in about its missing pet kangaroo, though the animal remains on the loose.

SHAWNEE — For nearly two weeks, sightings of an elusive pet kangaroo have been popping up all over the east side of the metro.

The Menhusen family recently learned that its pet kangaroo, Lucy Sparkles, was spotted north of the family home on Nov. 26, five days after Lucy went missing from their home northeast of Shawnee near Kickapoo and Hazel Dell Road.

Shayla Menhusen said if anyone spots the kangaroo and has Lucy Sparkles in their sight, they can call her at 990-4867. If she runs away, sightings can be posted on the “Bring Lucy Sparkles Home” Facebook page.
