A pleasant day is ahead Wednesday in central Oklahoma with warm temperatures, plenty of sunshine and light winds.

The Oklahoma City forecast from the National Weather Service is as follows:

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming south, southeast 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 43. South wind 7 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 70. South wind 10 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 45. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 61. Light northwest wind becoming north 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 40.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 59.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 44.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy with a high near 53.

Sunday night A slight chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy with a low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly sunny with a high near 40.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 29.
