Standoff ends at home near Edmond

Police are at a northwest Oklahoma City home after reports shots were fired.

6:40 p.m. The shooter has surrendered and has been taken into custody. Police have not released his identity.

6:30 p.m. Police are at a northwest Oklahoma City home after reports shots were fired.

About 4:30 p.m., officers were called to the 17600 block of Red Tailed Hawk Way. A person reportedly is inside the home and armed, Sgt. John Stacy said. A nearby school was locked down as a precaution, Stacy said, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
