— Fingerprints led police to a photograph and three names used by the man whose body was found along Interstate 35 early Saturday morning.

Detectives aren't sure which of the names the man used while in the Oklahoma City area working for a roofing company, said Jennifer Monroe, Edmond police spokeswoman.

“We need to know where he lived and who knew him,” Monroe said.

Police also released a photo of a dental plate embedded with a gold star and other accents in their efforts to learn more about the man.

“He had very unique teeth,” Monroe said. “We want to know if he even he washed a car at the car wash, anything. We need to know what his life was in Oklahoma City.”

Police are trying to determine which of these names he used while in this area — Leopoldo Mejia, Jose Mejia-Serrano or Jose Ramirez.

The body was discovered about 4:40 a.m. Saturday between Danforth and Covell roads near mile marker 143 on the northbound shoulder.

“He was not killed where he was found,” Monroe said. “That is why we are looking for anyone who was around.”

Monroe did not release information on how the man was killed. She said police are waiting on the medical examiner's final report.

Police ask anyone who remembers seeing any vehicles or people on the side of the road to call Edmond Crime Stoppers at 359-4466or text 625-TEXT (8398). has disabled the comments for this article.
