Google funds computer labs

Google this week awarded three grants to fund computer labs in Mayes County. Google said it will give $62,500 to Pryor Public Schools for three elementary school laptop labs and a robotics program at the secondary level. The Internet company also awarded $50,000 to the Thunderbird Youth Academy for computers, software and equipment to expand access to the Internet and other technology for the academy’s GED and credit recovery program. Google also awarded $10,000 for a computer lab at Safenet Services, a certified domestic violence and sexual assault agency in Rogers and Mayes Counties.
