Wildfire danger is increasing across Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph are ahead this week with dry conditions.
Tuesday temperatures will be in the 60s with winds increasing by evening in central Oklahoma.
Then Wednesday 40 mph winds are expected.
The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:
Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 64. South, southwest wind 5 to 11 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 46. East, southeast wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 11 to 16 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.
Wednesday Cloudy with a high near 67. Windy with a south wind 17 to 22 mph increasing to 24 to 29 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 27. Windy with a south wind 18 to 23 mph becoming west, northwest 25 to 30 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph.
Thursday: Sunny with a high near 45. Northwest wind 9 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 28.
Friday: Sunny with a high near 55.
Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 34.
Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 54.
Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 33.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 48.
Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 31.
