A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Wilburton man. The man has been missing since October.

MCALESTER -- A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Wilburton man who got on a bus to Oklahoma City in October but has not been seen since.

Virgil Rigsby, 69, boarded a Greyhound bus in McAlester on Oct. 13 and was reported to be headed to Oklahoma City, but he never arrived, McAlester police detective Lt. Kevin Hearod who is working the case said the bus may have gone through Tulsa. Rigsby's brother reported him missing on Dec. 4, Hearod said.

Rigsby was planning to move to Oklahoma City from Wilburton, Hearod said. Rigsby was wearing blue overalls. He has a speech impediment, police report.

Rigsby is white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds with white or gray hair and was carrying a suit case and trash bag with personal belongings.

Anyone who sees Rigsby should call 911.
