Yule want to know where to eat out during the holidays

Christmas is Tuesday, and dining options are few, but not nonexistent. The Asian District is always teeming with activity. Grand House China Bistro, 2701 N Classen Blvd., will offer its dim sum, and Golden Phoenix, 2728 N Classen Blvd., will be open for business as will many others in the area. The Super Cao Nguyen and Chinatown markets will also be open.

Other restaurants open on Christmas include both Lumpy's Sports Bar locations from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.; and Custino's Italian Kitchen, 2724 W Britton Rd., from 2 to 8 p.m.

Ludivine will host a party at 5 p.m. Christmas night. Guests are encouraged to bring a gift to be entered into a raffle for something that you really want. All gifts brought in will be donated to the City Rescue Mission. Raffle gifts include Thunder tickets, private cooking lessons, Ludivine gift certificates and merchandise.

The Deep Fork Grill, 5418 N Western Ave., will be open from 4 to 10 p.m., serving a prix fixe, four-course meal for $40. Dinner starts with an amuse bouche of chicken brochettes followed by a first course choice of crab bisque, house salad, butternut bisque, clam chowder or Caesar salad. Entree choices include ham with candied sweet potatoes and spiced pecans, sweet creme fraiche and green beans; grilled rib-eye steak with au gratin potatoes and asparagus; filet mignon with Dauphinoise potatoes and sauteed green beans; cedar-plank salmon with Parmesan risotto and asparagus; or chicken Madeira with whipped potatoes and asparagus. For dessert, choose either molten chocolate cake, strawberry cake, warm pecan pie a la mode or red velvet cake. Reservations are recommended, call 848-7678.

Hotel restaurants like Flint in the Colcord and the Park Avenue Grill in Skirvin will be open Christmas. More times than not, hotel restaurant are open at least in limited service on holidays to accommodate overnight guests.

Nonna's has holiday plans

Nonna's Euro-American Ristorante and Bar, 1 Mickey Mantle Dr., is getting into the holiday spirit with special hours and dinner service.

On New Year's Eve, Nonna's will have a special four-course dinner starting with petite meatballs with Cedar Spring Farms' marinara and creamy Alfredo topped with Parmesan cheese and served with a slice of garlic toast. Next is a Cedar Spring Farms house salad topped with shredded carrots, sliced cucumber and radish, toasted almonds, house-made croutons and Cedar Spring's cherry tomatoes served with your choice of dressing. The main course is a filet and shrimp served with Parmesan chive house potatoes, sauteed haricot vert and cabernet sauce. For dessert, Avis' chocolate cake served with toasted almonds and fresh, real whipped cream.

Cost is $65 plus an optional $10 for wine pairings.

Nonna's, which is usually closed Mondays, also will open for Christmas Eve dinner service. The Christmas Eve service will feature the regular menu.
