Q&A with Lisa Riley
Center offers gift-giving options
Q: I understand Dale Rogers Training Center has last-minute gift opportunities. Can you tell us about them?
A: DRTC offers a variety of gift options perfect for company gifts, hostess gifts or your favorite aunt. All products are packaged or produced by people with disabilities at Dale Rogers Training Center. Not only can you get a last-minute quality gift, but also it is locally made and packaged.
Our products include, but are not limited to, photo frame sets, cookbooks, acrylic vases, note cards, holiday cards and our Prairie Spice gift line. The note cards and holiday cards are uniquely designed by a person with a disability through a selection contest and the winner is compensated for their creation. Our acrylic vases and photo frame sets are crafted in our Wyman Framing and Prism Place Awards Departments, also on the DRTC campus.
Q: What are the different gifts and price options for the Prairie Spices?
A: DRTC has partnered with Cedar Hill Seasonings to create our own Prairie Spice brand. We offer three different gift sets of spices. Our newest spice product is the Prairie Spice Boot Kickin' BBQ set; this has been a big hit for company gifts. It includes a Boot Kickin' Rub, Chipotle Spice blend, Boot Kickin' Mesquite Wood Smokin' Pellets, a basting brush and a stainless steel grilling wok with skewers, all for only $28.
