Three die in state wrecks
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has reported the deaths of three people on state roads.
Carissa Taylor, 23, Stillwater
About 9:40 a.m. Saturday, Taylor was driving a pickup on Custer County Road 1010. At an intersection with State Highway 54, Taylor failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a truck, troopers said. Taylor died at the scene.
Harry Mac Ellis, 70, Muldrow
Shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday, Ellis was driving on Sequoyah County Road 4670, about three miles east of Sallisaw. At the intersection with County Road 1070, Ellis failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a pickup, troopers said. Ellis was taken to a Tulsa hospital, where he died, troopers said.
Gary Basquez, 42, Wetumka
About 4 p.m. Saturday, Basquez, 42, was driving on Hughes County Road N380 in a sport utility vehicle, when it exited the road and rolled three and a half times. Bazquez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and died, troopers said.
