Treating mentally ill should be a priority

Oklahoman Published: December 30, 2012

Charles Krauthammer (Commentary, Dec. 21) has the insight to the larger problem of mass killings: care and treatment for people recognized as needing special treatment. Time after time, people recognized by family members as being in need of help have no place for treatment by professional caretakers.

Our society has become dependant on electronic babysitters where weapons of destruction teach a complete disregard for life and the well-being of others.

I'm thankful for Krauthammer's educated view allowing blame for several segments of society for these bloody events.
