— Arcadia Lake's annual eagle watch is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Admission to the lake is half price, $3 per vehicle, during the three days, said Nicole Offutt, lake recreation specialist.

Participants are asked to go by the lake park office to get maps of the lake and information about where the eagles have been seen. Spotters will help participants locate the eagles.

Videos, a mounted eagle and a raptor wingspan display will be available for guests.

Information about other birds frequently seen at the lake also will be available.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots. They should bring rain gear, warm clothes that can be layered, binoculars, earmuffs and warm headwear, gloves and a camera.

The lake park office is about three miles east of Interstate 35 on Second Street.
