Bethany man dies in shooting

A Bethany man was shot in the chest and killed Thursday at an apartment complex in the 7400 block of NW 22, according to the Bethany Police Department. Police and firefighters responded to a medical call about 12:30 p.m. Thursday and found the victim. He was taken to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Police said they are not sure if the shooting was self-inflicted or a criminal act. The man’s name was not released because his family had not been notified.
