Work to put on Red Andrews Dinner worth the effort

Published: January 5, 2013

On behalf of the Red Andrews Christmas Dinner Foundation, let me extend my deep appreciation for continued support of and service to the dinner. Countless volunteers and donations assured that the dinner would be a success, now and in the future. It's impossible to single out any individual or sponsor who contributed this year, but each was an integral part in the dinner's success. Their participation was their own reward. The work that goes into the dinner is monumental. The end result makes it well worth the effort. The gratitude of the families that attended and the joy of the children in meeting Santa and selecting presents — children who in all likelihood would have gone without — are credits to the community. It makes me proud to live in a city that always steps up in times of need.
