About 2:30 a.m. Saturday, a caller to police reported a woman who had been either shot or stabbed in front of 2831 SW 63. The woman died at the scene, Lt. Kevin Parton said.
The woman's name was not released.
Investigators determined that a man the victim knew had been at the home, and he was spotted by Del City police about 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the 7-Eleven on the Tinker Diagonal at Scott Street, Parton said.
After being treated for cuts on his hands and interviewed by homicide detectives, David Dean Nichols, 40, was arrested on a murder complaint and booked into Oklahoma County jail, Parton said.
Police did not release details about the nature of the trauma to the woman's body nor the relationship between her and Nichols.
