Police investigating Lawton's 1st killing of 2013

LAWTON — Authorities in Lawton are investigating after a 35-year-old woman was found shot to death in her home.

LAWTON — Authorities in Lawton are investigating after a 35-year-old woman was found shot to death in her home.

Police say the woman was found dead shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

A local television station reports that family members called police after they were unable to contact her. Once there, officers found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say the woman's 1999 maroon Buick LeSabre is missing. The car has an Oklahoma tag number of 371EJI. Anyone with information is asked to call Lawton police.
