Regarding “Auditor adds 8 CNG-powered cars” (Business, Jan. 4): The state auditor's purchase of eight Honda CNG Civics may save $20,000 in fuel and maintenance costs over the life of the vehicles, but the purchase price of the vehicles is approximately $48,000 more than eight Honda Civic HFs.
