Oklahoma Health Care Authority selects new leader

Nico Gomez, a 13-year veteran of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, was hired as its chief executive at a board meeting on Thursday. Gomez, a state employee since 1995, will replace Mike Fogerty at the helm of the authority.

A 13-year employee of the state agency that administrates Medicaid in Oklahoma will now take over as its full-time chief executive.

Nico Gomez was hired to succeed Mike Fogerty at the helm of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority in a unanimous vote by the agency’s board of directors on Thursday.
