Oklahoma's big recruiting weekend continued Sunday, as the Sooners picked up a commitment from wide receiver K.J. Young.

Young (6-feet, 180 pounds) made his commitment after a weekend visit to Norman.

The Sooners offered Young in late December, with linebackers coach Tim Kish as his primary recruiter.

The Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill product also spent time at cornerback this season but is expected to play receiver at OU.

Young had 91 catches for 1,593 yards and 18 touchdowns this season with nearly half of the yardage coming in his team's four playoff games.

He also has offers that include Boise State, UNLV, UTEP and Colorado State.

Young had also entertained the idea of going to Iowa State, where his high school quarterback, Trevor Hodge, has been committed since June.

Young's commitment was first reported by Rivals.com.

He is the Sooners' 19th commitment for the 2013 class and second of the weekend.

Garland (Texas) South defensive tackle Charles Walker committed to the Sooners on Saturday.

Young is also the second high-schooler from California to commit to the Sooners, joining Fresno Central East's Hatari Byrd.

The commitment is non-binding. Young can officially sign beginning Feb. 6.
