Man is found shot, killed in house
A man was shot and killed early Tuesday in a south Oklahoma City home, police reported. Officers responded to a shooting call about 1:25 a.m. and found a man dead inside 6916 S Shartel Ave. The homeowner called police after she found the man dead of a gunshot wound in the living room, police Lt. Gamille Hardin said. The name of the victim was not been released pending notification of relatives. Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide tip line at 297-1200.

Students accused of possessing drugs
Two Capitol Hill High School students are accused of possession of a controlled substance during school, according to a police report released Tuesday. Amanda Delgado, 15, and Alexys Parson, 15, were arrested Jan. 16 after a police officer found them with a bottle half full of a substance believed to be liquid hydrocodone and cups with liquid in them, the report states. An assistant principal alerted the officer. The two students were taken to the Community Intervention Center and held until they were released to their parents. School district officials issued a statement saying the girls will be disciplined according to the District Student Code of Conduct.

Couple found burned in front of home
STONY POINT — A Le Flore County couple were found lying unconscious and their bodies burned in the front yard of their residence, Sheriff Rob Seale said Tuesday. Seale declined to release their names, citing pending criminal investigation. The couple remain hospitalized at the Hillcrest Medical Center's burn unit, he said. Firefighters were called to the rural area of Stony Point about 8:30 p.m. Monday, Seale said. He said the woman is in critical condition and the man is in serious condition. Officials haven't determined what started the fire.

Man dies after being involved in fight
MUSKOGEE — A Muskogee man died after he was involved in a fight, according to Muskogee police. John Wier, 47, was found unresponsive about 11 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot at Club Estates apartments and died at the hospital, according to a police news release. Wier had been fighting with another person when he collapsed and stopped breathing, police report. The body was sent to the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
