Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alexander Hefner IV of Edmond are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexis Yasmine to Mr. John Blake Burckart of Bentonville, Arkansas.
The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Oklahoma Christian School in Edmond and graduated from the University of Arkansas with degrees in Finance and Economics in 2012. Alexis is the granddaughter of Dr. Sam and Lynn Coury of Edmond and Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Hefner III of Oklahoma City. She is Credit Analyst with the Accelerated Career Track Program at Bank of Oklahoma.
The prospective groom is the son of Susan and John Robert Burckart of Bentonville, Arkansas. He is the grandson of Shirley and Pinky Davis of Bentonville, Barbara and Vic Platner of Rogers, Arkansas, and the late John C. Burckart. He is a 2005 graduate of Bentonville High School and achieved his undergraduate studies from the University of Arkansas in Finance and Marketing before earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas Law School in 2012. Blake is an attorney with Chesapeake Energy Corporation.
The couple will be united in Holy Matrimony on July 6, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City. Alexis and Blake will make their home in Oklahoma City.
