Two people were hospitalized after the car they were in was driven from the road Thursday night, authorities said.
About 8:15 p.m., the driver of a black car reportedly ran the driver of a silver car from the road on southbound Interstate 35 near Memorial Road, causing the silver car to roll and throw a passenger from it, Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Betsy Randolph said.
The driver of a red pickup that was apparently not involved in the crash stopped along the highway after the crash and punched the driver of the black car, Randolph said. The driver of the red pickup was stopped by Oklahoma City police, and the driver of the black car fled on foot, she said.
The person that was thrown from the car was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Another person from the silver car was also hurt in the crash, but a condition was not available, Randolph said.
