Coincidentally, the Cowboys will be re-retiring No. 10.

The number, officially retired in a ceremony recognizing the 10th anniversary during a home game against Texas in 2011, was unwittingly given to freshman Phil Forte this season. Only recently did officials realize the mistake, which will result in Forte switching to No. 13.

OSU will observe a moment of silence before Saturday's noon game against West Virginia inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The library carillon will toll 10 times at 6:37 p.m. Sunday, recognizing the time of the crash that took the lives of Kendall Durfrey (radio engineer), Bjorn Fahlstrom (co-pilot), Nate Fleming (player), Will Hancock (media relations coordinator), Dan Lawson (player), Brian Luinstra (athletic trainer), Denver Mills (pilot), Pat Noyes (director of operations), Bill Teegins (radio play-by-play), and Jared Weiberg (student assistant).
