Michael Shane Chapman, 40, of Joplin, Mo., has been missing since Sunday, Alberty said. Chapman's boat was recovered about 4:30 p.m. Monday near the Sail Boat Bridge area, he said.

Crews in two GRDA helicopters and boats began searching for Chapman that evening and resumed the search Tuesday, Alberty said.

The crews have been combing a 10-square mile area, he added.
