Oklahoma state government bill trends

Thousands of bills and joint resolutions are filed each year in the Oklahoma House and Senate, but only a handful actually become law.

2011 — 2,230 total bills and joint resolutions filed; 382 became law (17 percent)

2010 — 1,677 total bills and joint resolutions; 443 became law (26 percent)

For the coming session, 2,455 bills and joint resolutions were filed.
