Man charged in fatal shootings
A man accused of shooting an assault rifle into a crowd of people after a party was charged Monday in Oklahoma County District Court with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of shooting with intent to kill. Keenan L. Leake, 24, of Oklahoma City, is accused of killing Nicholas Duwayne Sweet, 32, and Raymond Huddleston, 34, in the parking lot of Pulse Events Center, 6903 Roxbury Ave., after a music release party ended Dec. 2. Anthony Jackson, 35, also was shot but survived, police reported. One witness reported seeing the defendant with a weapon larger than a handgun but not as large as a rifle. A second witness reported seeing Leake shooting an “SKS or AR-15 type of weapon,” according to a probable cause affidavit.

$5K reward offered in slaying
GROVE — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the death of a Delaware County man one year ago, according to a news release issued Monday. Phillip Porter was found dead shortly after noon Jan. 12, 2012, in his motor home northwest of Sail Boat Bridge on Grand Lake. His throat was slashed, severing his jugular vein. The state medical examiner determined Porter died of multiple sharp force wounds. Anyone with information about who killed Porter, is asked to call (800) 522-8017.

Game causes argument, shooting
POTEAU — An argument over the Super Bowl outcome escalated to gunfire, Le Flore County Undersheriff Kendall Morgan said Monday. A 21-year-old man shot his 40-year-old stepfather about 9:30 p.m. Sunday with a 40-caliber pistol, Morgan said. “There was alcohol involved, and the two men got in an argument about the game,” Morgan said. “Then the older man began beating on his wife and the stepson stepped in telling him to get away (from his mother).” Officials aren't releasing any names pending the conclusion of their investigation, he said. Morgan said the older man was flown to a Tulsa hospital with three gunshot wounds to his abdomen and is in stable condition. The two men work together at a Houston, Texas, oil company, he said. There is no history of domestic violence with the family, he said.
