Ogbonnia Okoronkwo made a decision in December that hadn't been made by a college football recruit since 2009.

He dropped his commitment to Oklahoma State and switched to Oklahoma.

The last Sooner to do that was former defensive back Demontre Hurst, who just completed his senior season.

Okoronkwo, a three-star defensive end, is from Alief Taylor High School in Houston. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound defensive end can bench 340 pounds, squat 490 and has a vertical of 36 inches. He can also run a 4.58 40-yard dash.

He is listed by Rivals as the 32nd best at his position in the Class of 2013. Also according to Rivals, as a junior, Okoronkwo made 50 tackles, 13 for a loss and also registered 11 sacks.

Okoronkwo was also recruited by a handful of other Big 12 schools besides OSU and OU, including Kansas, West Virginia and Texas Tech.

He joins Matt Dimon of Katy, Texas, and former Lawton standout D.J. Ward as new Sooners at the position.
