State musicians gather for Oklahoma Youth Orchestra performance

The Oklahoma Youth Orchestra held a Winter Concert on Sunday in the Petree Recital Hall on the Oklahoma City University campus.

The Oklahoma Youth Orchestra held a Winter Concert on Sunday in the Petree Recital Hall on the Oklahoma City University campus.

The orchestra is composed of 90 of the most talented high school musicians in the state.

Featured in the concert was the Suite from “Swan Lake” by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, “Nimrod” from the Enigma Variations by Sir Edward Elgar, and featured soloist Clayton Smith in the “Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra,” composed by Ney Rosauro.
